A late 19th century - early 20th century Folk Art diorama with a schooner in the foreground.  A lighthouse stands along the shore in front of a hillside village with now topped mountains below a cloud filled sky.  The painted wood schooner with carved and painted sails sits on painted plaster waves while the background is painted in a primitive style on canvas applied to board insida a shallow shadowbox with molded frame.  The outside of the box with inventory or accession numbers from previous collections.
